Kids’ Development
We have established a Long Term Athletic Development programme for youngsters. All ages are welcome. It is very important that physical activity be a part of youngsters’ daily life from an early age. This promotes adherence and ensures proper education on injury prevention in the long term. Kids already spend plenty of time sitting (studying, doing homework, watching television). Physical activity can help to break up those long periods of sitting and actually increase self-confidence, reduce stress, improve sleep and improve concentration as well as memory. During these sessions we focus on core strength, balance as well as the different aspects to improve a child’s physical literacy to enable them to become active for life.
Netball and Hockey Clinics
Our aim is to practise speed, agility and coordination on the netball court to improve your aerobic capacity, muscular power, balance and reaction time. Learning, practising and mastering the basic skills of sports is one of the foundations of sports performance and athletic training.
Fit Forever Over 65
Biokinetics is a medically recognised profession that involves the application of exercise in rehabilitative or performance treatment. The noted benefits of regular exercise include improving the quality of life in old age, improving balance and muscle control, and reducing the risk of stroke or heart attack. In addition, exercise increases bone density, reduces the risk of developing dementia, prevents or delays the onset of disease and improves overall confidence and independence.
Fit Forever Over 65 provides specialised training in groups or in individual sessions.
Weight Loss
Weight gain can have causes that are not due to underlying disease. Examples can include diet, lack of exercise, malnutrition or excessive eating. Having a healthy lifestyle can be of great benefit in various ways. Exercise helps to improve mood while lowering stress levels and helps to prevent weight gain from these causes. We specialise in assisting our clients with their weight loss goals by creating a safe environment and a personalised programme to reach your specific goals.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
This is a dynamic group class consisting of high intensity interval training (HIIT) combined with weight training. High intensity interval training is one of the best ways to get fit quick - not just looking fit, but feeling fit, as well. It's a great workout for burning fat, boosting endurance, toning up all over and building explosive speed and strength. If you're looking to get or stay lean, HIIT workouts should show up in your routine between 1-3 times a week, depending on your goals, training intensity and fitness level.
