Spinning

Spinning is a high-intensity cycling class focusing on endurance, strength and intervals. It involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting with great music to keep the motivation levels up. The routines are designed to simulate terrain and situations like riding a bike outdoors. Some of the movements and positions include hill climbs, sprints and interval training. It is a great way to increase your fitness levels even in trained athletes. With increases in heart and lung capacity, spinning is the optimal cardio workout. The low-impact nature of spinning also makes it a great exercise for older adults or people recovering from orthopaedic injuries.

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

This is a dynamic group class consisting of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) combined with weight training. High-intensity interval training is one of the best ways to get fit quickly - not just looking fit, but feeling fit, as well. It's a great workout for burning fat, boosting endurance, toning up all over and building explosive speed and strength. If you're looking to get or stay lean, HIIT workouts should show up in your routine between 1-3 times a week, depending on your goals, training intensity and fitness level.

Boxing

Boxing is an important training tool to define and tone your upper and lower body musculature. Most people think boxing is just for the upper body when in fact most of your power and speed will come from the lower body, which makes boxing an amazing full-body workout. Mat Pilates

A refreshing mind-body workout, emphasizing proper breathing, and correct spinal and pelvic alignment. Our Pilates classes focus on smooth, flowing movement which help you become acutely in tune with your body. The quality of movement is valued over the quantity of repetitions and it is a great way to reduce stress.

Aqua Aerobics

Our Aqua Aerobics classes consist of low-impact exercise against the resistance of the water providing a cardiovascular burn water aerobics protects your joints in two ways: the buoyancy of the water supports a portion of your weight, reducing the load on your joints as you move. Secondly, the resistance of the water prevents any of your joints from moving too quickly which can prevent mild hyperextension and repetitive stress injuries.
